The infamous Coronavirus has plagued the world’s economy, but among those impacted the most are restaurant owners and their employees. Many restaurants are relying on delivery and takeout as their primary source of income which poses a threat to their livelihoods. Only being able to operate at partial capacity, with some people not feeling comfortable eating at restaurants in general, leads to a major reduction in profits that they were not anticipating going into this year.

We all play an important role in our communities and we have the power to help many small businesses stay afloat. By making smart decisions about where you choose to spend your money, you can help these employees pay their bills and put food on the table for their families. If you do feel comfortable eating at restaurants whether it be inside or outside, you can decide to spend your money at many local restaurants. Furthermore, if you do not feel comfortable eating out, consider ordering carryout or curbside pick-up from these local spots.

You could also purchase gift certificates from these businesses to use them in the future and provide them with your promised business and a source of income at the moment. LASTLY, I know unemployment rates are at an all-time high and things are tight for most people.
