Whether you’re in the mood for something hot and chocolatey or cold and fruity, St. Louis has a plethora of delicious treats. Check out my curated list below of some of the city’s best bakeries, ice cream parlors, and more!

Clementine’s Naughty & Nice Creamery

This specialty ice cream spot has three locations across the city and serves unique flavors and boozy shakes, hence the “naughty” in the name. Their most popular “naughty” flavor is the maple bourbon with salted candied pecans. The most popular “nice” flavor is the salted cracker caramel. Personally, I like the salted cracker caramel, Italian butter cookie, and the vegan coconut chocolate fudge flavors the best.

Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream

Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream serves hot, Belgian-style waffles made-to-order, then loads them with cold ice cream and fun toppings. They offer 16 different ice cream flavors and four CBD infused flavors that rotate daily! Some of my favorite flavors are blackberry cobbler, brownie blast, and cobalt cookie. However, if you want a classic, go for vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top!

The Cup

The Cup is the adorable sister store to The Cakery, with two St. Louis-area locations baking up delicious cupcakes all day! Their cupcakes are so delicious they even sell them in Straub’s grocery stores around St. Louis. Whether you’re craving a classic like yellow cake with white buttercream or a seasonal favorite like peach cobbler, they’ve got you covered. My favorite is the peanut butter cup, it is the perfect amount of chocolate and peanut butter.

Missouri Baking Co

Located on The Hill, Missouri Baking Co.has all of the best Italian pastries. This spot is my personal favorite, I can’t be near The Hill without stopping by for a cream puff or cannoli. Being raised in an Italian family meant having these sweet treats at every holiday or birthday gathering and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Cake House Design

Cake House Design was opened by a young 24-year-old entrepreneur named Lindsey. Lindsey dropped out of college after her junior year in order to pursue her passion for baking full-time. Lucky for her, she is an excellent baker! Everything I’ve tried here is more delicious than the last. I even plan on using her bakery to make my birthday cake this year.

Lindsey offers a menu of rotating sweets with a new menu posted to the bakery’s Instagram page each morning. Some of these sweet treats consist of cupcakes, brownie stacks, cheesecake, cake pops, and cookies. My favorite cupcakes are the chocolate peanut butter (I know this was my favorite at The Cup too, I have an addiction), puppy chow, and chocolate cookie butter.

If you check out any of these delicious spots, send me a DM and let me know what treat you got and what you thought of it! Stay tuned for more delicious St. Louis spots next week.
